Château De Beaulon Très Vieille Réserve DU Château 1976Trophée d'Or at the Vinexpo Olympiades 2001 and Grande Médaille d'Or at the Mondial de Bruxelles 2001. Over twenty years spent silently ageing in oak barrels has resulted today in this exceptional cognac. An exceptional cognac from an exceptional vintage. At Château de Beaulon the potential of the 1976 grape harvest was realised immediately and Réserves were made. As a single estate producer the quality of all our cognacs is guaranteed. Unlike large cognac houses weonlyuse grapes from our own vineyards and eaux de vie distilled and aged in ourowncellars. This traceability enables us to produce a vintage cognac because only cognac from our Estate and from the 1976 harvest is used to make the 'Très Vieille Réserve du Château'. A cognac is as old as the youngest cognac in its blend, our vintage 1976 can be so-called because its content is solely 1976. Château de Beaulon specialises in traditional grape varieties which many other producers have abandoned because of their low yield. At Château de Beaulon quality is more important than quantity. Grape varieties such as Folle Blanche, Colombard and Montils offer an exquisite complexity to our cognacs, add this to the exceptional vintage and you have a truly exclusive cognac.
